to be awake. I went to bed at 10 o'clock so that I could wake up at 4.45am to go to work. What time is it? It's 3.30 in the morning, and at this point, going back to sleep would probably just do harm. Son of a bitch. Why I can't I just sleep through the night like a normal person?

That bitch never gets up at 4 in the morning or opens, but she schedules me (a person who usually works ALL nights) to open. UGH.

When I was manager in 03 I had to open every day. I really hated it as the morning shift was the busiest shift ever. I've been back on nights for a while and it's great.

oh yeah man. i used to hate opening. i always set my alarm for around 3:30 though cause it gave me a chance to actually look awake when i got to work. i was always a little grossed out when people would come in and they'd have those sleepy eyes. you know what i mean...:/ i like to feel nice and awake. that hurt me a little though cause my manager paul usually opened with me and he said i was probably the biggest morning person there and he enjoyed opening with me. so i was scheduled for a lot of opening shifts. i liked getting out of there early though.

it's starbucks. on Mon-Fri, my store opens at 6am. Some stores open as early as 5 or 5.30. Subtract 45 minutes from whatever time we're supposed to open and that's what time we have to be there. Today, I had to be there at 5.45am.

Tomorrow, I have to be there at 5.15am because for some reason, our dumbass new manager is making us open an hour eary on Christmas Eve (This makes zero sense, by the way).

This is only the 4th or 5th time I've opened. And the 2nd this week. Tomorrow will make 3. I'm DONE with it. hah.

And I'm really tired. I told my manager that I just wasn't going to take a lunch, and just leave 30 minutes early, instead. Yeah, that worked out. I wound up not taking a lunch and leaving all of 10 minutes early because people are dumb. I'm sick of covering everyone's asses, man.
