Download a streaming video?

Anybody adept at video streaming rippage?

Looking to grab this:

A few methods:

You can view the page source or right-click on the page and click "inspect element." Use CTRL + F to find any video file extensions, most likely .MP4. Click the link to the file. You now have a version of the video you can right-click and click "save as" on.

A lot of websites are getting wise to this and doing some shit to make this harder to do, though. If this doesn't work, you can:

1. Install a browser plugin that allows you to save web videos (plenty of them out there)
2. Download Realplayer, which comes with Realdownloader. A little button at the top of your screen pops up when you're watching a video that lets you download it.

Funny, I usually try that trick but have been shut out on it so often lately that I didn't even try. I had lost hope. I now have hope once again.

also an option: download yt-dlp.exe from https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp
last release is here: https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp/rel...tag/2025.06.09

then command line: yt-dlp + url of the page with the video. (in this case https://www.pbs.org/video/texas-mont...looked-rj30be/)

doesn't work for every video, but it works here. also works very well with youtube.
many options are available (stream selection, output format, and many, many more.) but if you don't use any options, it will try to select the best video and best audio available on the page.
for this video, it'll give you the 1080p one (749 MB).
