What Cities Do You [I]Never[/I] Want to Visit?

Philosophy of science. Right now, doing my thesis on evidence in historical sciences (pretty much, any scientific hypotheses about the past… so, a lot of palaeontology, archaeology, evolutionary biology, historical linguistics, cosmology…).

Although, at a master's level, I don't really feel like an "expert" in any subject area yet. There are still entire swaths of the phil of sci literature I haven't really engaged with the current literature on.

This person has problems of her own she needs to work out. First of all, she likely has pretty low self-esteem if she was susceptible to manipulative tactics in the first place. And I'm not saying that means she has a bad character or anything—it's not a moral failing to be vulnerable. I'm just saying… people with high self-esteem can smell from a mile away when a dude is trying to play them with love-bombing and controlling tactics and all that shit. Secondly (and this part is a comment on her character), she wasn't being so innocent, either. She was trying to play you while absolving herself of any responsibility. Have her cake and eat it, too. Justify cheating by going "oh, I'm just a poor girl, I don't know what's going on" so she could have the comfort of a monogamous partner (she subtly claims to hate) while also trying to fuck around. And after it happened, she'd pin it all on you. "I was so confused, I thought he was just being friendly, but one thing led to another… don't be angry at me, be angry at him!" Then, you get some unhinged man standing outside your house at 3am screaming at you to come fight him. When you don't, you hear him smashing your taillights in with a baseball bat. Nobody's worth that, bro.

A city I'd like to visit for the art museums like the Metropolitan and MoMA, but you won't catch me dead purposely going to Time Square because how the hell are a bunch of adverts a tourist attraction?
