Bodysnatchers sounds like it could be a Yo La Tengo song.

stop expecting kid a or amnesiac

if they got us another one of those it wouldnt be revolutionary now because um duh

this album definitely sticks out, it's very clean. i miss jonny's reckless solos, but really, the more i listen that kind of thing wouldnt fit on an album like this. bodysnatchers is like the heaviest thing and it's reminiscent of i might be wrong's feel. jigsaw and faust arp also really stick out. i enjoy this but need some more time with it really.

i miss the live version of videotape. with the drums rushing in when thom did the "goodbye" part. this works too, but its still lacking a bit to me.

i think arpeggi is this first time ed has sung on a studio album in a long time. they really got it right with that song.

this album is growing on me, but it won't be my favorite of the radiohead bunch

they left some of the ondes in the song i think, i think it works really well.

this album is worth the "wait" for arpeggi and bodysnatchers alone, it's some of the best stuff they've done in my opinion. and i agree with you there shapan about the ed vocals, it's beautifully done.

so do you guys think In Raibows will get reviewed by the major media outlets? Or do you think it will get the Machina II treatment and not be acknowledged as a real album?

for those who said they can't hear jonny as much on this.. are you kidding? I can hear him all over the record.. just not in ways typical of him.. his work with the bbc orchestra has really paid off on this record.

I'm lovin' it. reminds me a lot of the production on sea change.

also.. for it feels like the record doesn't really start until nude.. the first two tracks don't really seem to fit.. especially 15 step.. completely out of place. also not to happy with what they did with videotape.. almost like they decided they wanted it as the last track, therefore they had to produce it to sound like one.. but it doesn't work... the full band videotape was incredible.

the three song run of nude, arpeggi and all i need it the best part.. faust arp was a great suprise as was reckoner.. i dislike jigsaw before but now am in love with it.

sounds like theyve matured quite a bit, too.

love the whole dark, creepy, mellow and atmospheric vibe of the record.. was not expecting it and am pleasantly suprised.

I think Faust Arp is up there with their very best work.

I also think they made Reckoner better. The original version was a little cheesy, really.

yep.

also like to add that I <3 the fact that nigel ripped off his production idea for the intro of ''lost cause'' for the intro of nude.

why all the hate for HTTT?

it doesn't stack up as a whole album as much as the others....but 2+2=5, There There, Sail to the Moon, Backdrifts, Where I End and You Begin.... all damn good songs.

nude is fucking incredible, IMO one of the best radiohead songs of all time probably top 10 at least

what "production techniques" are you guys talkign about nigel using on that track?

overall i dont think the album is that great, it starts out very strong and seems to dissolve from weird fishes onward
plus it doesnt really have a single, i guess bodysnatchers could be a single but what im getting at is... in the end it will probably be viewed as a failure
