Our mail carrier intentionally wiped his blood all over our mail...

I came home the other day and noticed blood all over an envelope that had "CAT BIT ME" written on it. He/she had to have stuck their hand pretty far into the mail slot for one our cats to get that freaked out. Anyway, are we liable? Or should I complain to the Post Office for their worker intentionally wiping their blood all over our mail? Either way, I'm pissed.

how do you know it was intentional? maybe the mailperson saw they got blood on your mail and wrote cat bit me to explain why you have blood on your mail.

here's a great little episode from New Zealand post:

recently, i had some records mailed to me from the UK. the NZ Post courier driver decided not to deliver them, because the package was too big to fit in the letterbox.

'PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR LETTERBOX IS BIG ENOUGH TO ACCOMODATE THE PACKAGES & MAIL THAT YOU RECEIVE'

are you kidding me? HOW ABOUT YOU WALK THE FUCKING 20 FEET TO MY DOOR, AND LEAVE IT ON THE STAIRS, LIKE EVERYONE ELSE DOES.

thus, i had to take the time to drive to their depot, and pick the package up myself. Only between 6am-11am weekdays, of course.

We've had to put a message on our mailbox reading: "Hi postman. Mail goes IN the box, not in the top bit, thanks. Yeah, especially on windy days."

Normally it's fine but there's one fucking retard who always puts the letters in the newspaper part instead of the mail slot. Which is fine, when there's no wind.
