Today is my first time seeing this. Wh...at? I'd heard about a "choir", even if they were a Mormon choir, but I thought, well choirs are always good right? They always add something to songs.

But this... they didn't add anything! It was like they couldn't sing. The two little girls looked terrified.

Willie was still very much into Zwan mode around this time. Aesthetically speaking at least. Also, funny to think Zwan had more original SP members than this version of SP.

Strawberry's Mormon choir = the absolute bottom of the barrel low moment for the band. Maybe either that or the Owata video, can't think of a worse point off the top of my head.

There's been several:
- The 12 year old drummer
- going on tour with those guys from the Killers and calling *that* SP
- Solara video
- "Because people like you ask for it"
- Tommy Lee on drums (that was pretty awesome, but it was NOT the Pumpkins)
- Woh woh woh woh-woh wohhhh

Billy's love of wrestling is so baffling to me, I'd never guess in a million years a guy like him would be into it, let alone involved in it to the extent he currently is. 70% of his IG content is wrestling focused now and it clashes so hard with the SP aesthetic that it just comes off as bizarre. What's the overlap between SP fans and wrasslin' fans? Who watched the Owata video and thought "oh yeah, great idea Billy"?

i work w/ an older wrestling fan. he's probably paraphrasing someone else but he told me its a thing you pick up as a child and either you drop it at some point as a teen or your love for it keeps growing to the point where the actual "wrestling" has very little to do w/ why you continue to love it.

Maybe he's just a human who likes things, and that not everything that he likes should be expected to conform with a very specific impression of him people get from his stage persona in a band he's in.

Out of all the weird things about Corgan, I don't get why people get hung up on the wrestling thing.

I guess it's less about him being into wrestling and moreso his willingness to let it sort of blend together with the SP stuff. In my mind I'm imagining Thom Yorke trying to leverage his Radiohead fame to pump up his puppet show ventures or something.

In reality, who gives a fuck, which is fair, but it's a good indicator of how insular things have become in the SP world. I guess I'm just noticing now how much more of a BC vanity project things have become in the past ten years than I originally thought.

Most of those are questionable but not flat out bad... all embarrassing yes

Actually the Solara video was totally awful, think that was the last crushing of hope that James returning might stop terrible things being released

Widow is a low-point of many.

People don´t give shit about Willy´s announcements cause he changes his opinions and plans on a daily basis.

Long live crygarden

I can ignore the wrestling thing as he can like whatever he wants, but more than 70% of his posts now are about wrestling. Across all his channels. It would be better if he just kept it to one.

I decided to convert to Mormonism after watching that video

Cry is and was definitely the low point of the band. Will be hard to top.. but surely Billy will find a way.

Untr00 fan alert.

Billy got into wrestling when he was living with his grandmother iirc. I would presume his renewed interest comes from wanting to connect with good childhood memories. But buying an indie wrestling franchise seems a bit excessive.
