5. Integrity Blues
6. Invented
7. Chase This Light
8. Static Prevails
9. Jimmy Eat World (1994)

I like that we are literally the only two people who give a shit about this thread. This is like tossing a frisbee back and forth, long distance, in slow motion.

Oh yeah I did listen to and love that EP.

Clarity hasn't really connected with me yet. But it's still pretty new to me.

I could listen to futures on repeat forever I think?

Futures is pretty much perfect.

If Clarity wasn't your jam, you probably won't like Static Prevails much at all. The guitarist was still the lead singer, so it had a totally different sound from Futures, Bleed American, etc. Yet, nothing as infectious as Blister (song from Clarity where aforementioned guitarist takes leads).

Also it seems like he took over lead guitar duties as well. Wonder how the other dude's (tom?) ego held up through all that

Well, they've had the same line-up for over 20 years now. I imagine he's fine with it.

God, Clarity is so great. I encourage you to give it a few more spins before writing it off.

It's one of the few things from 1999 that I still listen to on the reg.

Believe me I'm gonna spend a lot more time with all these. But futures hits a very specific sweet spot

Oh my. Oh yes. Perhaps my favorite of theirs. It gives me feelings I'm not always prepared to have.

Yeah, Cautioners is great. I love their slower, moodier jams.

Disintegration is another good one.

Cautioners is also a good soundtrack to "I know I'm no good for you and I hope you'll figure that out and ditch me soon."

same but I can't tell if it actually holds up or if it's just a case of beloved album connected with good feels and if I only still like it because of that. but who cares, I guess.

Well, I argue that with myself sometimes, but then I think, my closet is full of albums I have good memories with that I don't ever want to hear again, so I think Clarity holds up on its own merits.

I think of some of the other stuff I was listening to in 1999 and I can't help but cringe.

I remember cruising in an older friend's car late one Friday night blasting Tonight The Stars Revolt by Powerman 5000 and feeling like we were cool shit.
