Highlight of the whole thing wasn't quoted here yet - talking about the budget to record Gish, and how they were blowing all of the money on hotels:

Billy said something then to the tune of "Then we met some really kind and generous ladies..." and Jimmy interrupts and says "No, I met those ladies!" and Billy laughs and says "I was trying to skip that part because your wife is in the room..." and Jimmy says "I was NOT married at that point in time."

Guess they let them stay with them or something so they could use more money on recording Gish and less money on hotels, BC said it wouldn't have been the same album without them.

Lots of talk throughout the night about "I have to save that story for the book..." but then he poked fun at himself early on and said "Yeah, that book that will never come out..."

Yeah, that's what was said... I was expecting like b-sides or something to that effect. What is playing now is more unreleased stuff, but because we don't know where it's from, it's kind of a mystery.

NP: Some acoustic live version of Obscured that sounds p rad

Live release only on overpriced vinyl, why am I not surprised

Dude has extensive archives of the majority of their live career, he will probably continue to sit on these not knowing what to do with them until he dies

Also I was hoping they'd play some Gish recording session or demo stuff, I'm sure we don't have everything. Didn't they attempt Razor in the studio during that time?

but also yes chloe is a bit annoying. and you can tell WPC is annoyed with her. Jimmy has the patience of a saint but that's just Jimmy being Jimmy. he was funny as hell here.
It was not a disaster, but it could have been a LOT better. Although I loved the "Silverfuck", I would have been just as happy if they'd done more questions instead. The close out song playing now is some kind of performance of "Obscured" with Billy telling James the chord progression, and James and Billy goofing around/chatting over the music.

Linda Strawberry is the most annoying human to ever be known of from the pumpkins universe and she needs to get the hell over herself.

Darcy, still keeping it real, said it best.. "linda who?"

Now the Sad Machines crowd is attacking anyone on the chat who dares to ask why we just got live audio and demos of songs we've heard instead of truly unheard songs.

i expected this to go just as well as the mellon collie live stream, where billy spent most of the time talking about how they were really just "playing the heel" all along, blah blah blah. nothing super new was learned from this, except where the title mayonnaise came from.

it was about what i expected it to be. not complaining.

Pam, the same gal who won the guitar on the Cotillions tour, won the big BC photo.

Gal is officially the new Monte - always there, always wins stuff, always first to comment, gets replies from BC, etc.

Yeah, I knew this wasn't going to be a lifechanging thing. But tech-wise, it worked great for me. I wasn't tuning in for some super hi-def Gish listening experience, love how people are complaining about the sound quality of the album itself.

Now James is there and he’s offering to help Billy’s wife get her drivers license when she turns 16. What a sweetie James is.

Playing a demo of Purr Snickety. Billy called it "Country Song" at the beginning. He messes up in the middle, says "fuck" and turns off the tape. Butt Pope is performing oral sex on the few lingerers at ZuZu's. I think we're done.

Overall it was okay. It got way better as it went on. From a stream point of view, shit camera angles and visuals. Audio channels kept dropping out. Delayed at least 15 minutes due to errors.

The content was okay, some funny stories and trivia and a lot of Billy's side stories zzz. They only answered like 3 questions, that needed to be way longer.

Hearing official soundboard TSP is the pinnacle of music so that was lovely to hear.

I don't get why the overall production was so mom and pop/start up style. Maybe that's the ole goofy pumpkins, we don't give a fuck type of spirit. If it had some decent production and not organized by some 16 year old could maybe have got some more insights about the era etc. AS I said before, why not put them in 2 big chairs in centre of the stage, debate style and talk about the record. No need to have streamed the album also, total time suck.

I look forward to the great looking guitar green Gish shirt.

Fun night ladies and gentlemen. Now we can resume regularly scheduled discussion about whether or not David Pajo ever struck his ex-wife.

maybe the label just gave them a loan? so it was in essence their own money?
