Default 1992-09-06 Metropolis Festival, Rotterdam AMT#3 New Source download

Link to torrent file:
https://public-nicholasserra.s3.amaz...C-FLAC.torrent

This is a new and uncirculated source for this show. I've logged it as AMT #3 in SPLRA.

From the tape collection of "J.F & C.C" and professionally transferred by our friend TravisBickle1963 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCM7..._bfVCpxyaYOwxg

This is a Video8 lossless transfer, deinterlaced and encoded via x264. The mkv file has the x264 video, an AAC audio track, and a secondary FLAC audio track.

I've already updated SPLRA for this source http://www.splra.org/wiki/index.php?...Tsp1992-09-06A

Is that Bob English headbanging and air drumming backstage? He was really getting down

JC's crash cymbals are so crazy high in that vid [and I guess most of the Gish era]

seems like he's drawing inspiration for his rock setup from, like, generic glam metal bullshit in the 80s? then of course for SD his kit got more compact, which explains his badass nonchalantness around the kit - he's reaching like a foot less to play cymbals the next tour

Sure thing. Curious what you're doing with the audio only?

Damn, didn't think of that.

I was more wondering if they were uploading anywhere. Archive.org. Trackers, etc. Curious where most of this stuff should be landing.

Welcome!

trev: To be clear, I want this stuff to be uploaded and shared. I just wasn't sure if there was somewhere I should also be posting this stuff.

I still feel that his playing was at it's peak during the Gish era and tour. So much unhinged kinetic energy. He was coming up with some really creative stuff in this period. I think he got reeled in by Billy a lot on Siamese Dream onward. And I feel by Machina he became too studied and too refined, repeating the same machine gun snare rolls and fills. Obviously still amazing, but sounds like he's on autopilot sometimes.

great post

I think I agree - the Gish stuff is just fucking insane. I think too part of me doesn't like it because it's so crazy balls to the wall and challenging, it's almost exhausting or too effortful to listen to

like listen to how he ends rocket at 4:50 --> https://ia802604.us.archive.org/30/i...0120-d1t01.mp3. the kick part is so aggressive and killer

ah gotcha. well yeah i think archive.org would be best if it isn't there already.

but if any are soundboards i could also upload them to the private trackers RED and OPS if that helps. they only allow complete soundboard concert recordings (not FM), or any officially released live recordings from a download site like wolfgangs or nugs etc.

i lost my login for the zomb, but i think that's still going, might be worth sharing there but i don't know. the traders den is still going and i have an account there so could also put it there if there's interest.
