most of the white people who raved about his older albums were clearly just in it for the hype or some other such bullshit because DAMN & this one are practically just as great, but treated as if they were major steps down but lord knows these same people would not shut the fuck up when Butterfly had just come out

I really like it, and I adored DAMN too

although maybe that would have been different if it wasn't My First Kendrick album.. Butterfly is something else and so is untitled unmastered

Butterfly is certainly better enjoyed outside of the context of everybody talking about it non-stop 24/7
