I'm willing to bet the NDAs came after D'arcy left.

Chavez was great but really he looks like the kind of guy that knows everybody at the party and that's what'll get you to the Fender realm of advertising. He even has a cut in that hipster burger thing in Manhattan.

Spider-Man starring Tobey McGuire came out 20 years ago. We're all dead.

Billy seems to pride himself on his showbiz acumen more than his artistry. He wants to be known for making shit hot dealz and revolutionizing the paradigm. The shit where he's haggling directly with fans over releases? No one wants to haggle directly with artists, Billy.

Billy operates like someone who values money over people and needs NDA’s to stop them hurting his feelings publicly.

The book publication process would not agree with him. If he wrote the book in that obnoxious faux-prose style that he used for the re-issues and his old blog posts, the book would essentially be unfit for publication. The book would end up being completely re-written in editing, and then he'd just take his ball and run home like he does with everything that does not go 100% his way. A shame, because as much as I call him out on his bullshit, I do think he has a genuinely interesting story to tell.

I'm reasonably certain the NDAs came at some point during a renegotiation of contracts and royalty agreements. My guess would be during the Sharon Osbourne era.

Well, I know Billy has mentioned he basically had to buy Chris off during the divorce, so you can bet she got hit with an NDA.
