I "type" with a special keyboard I chew on

One bite for , two bites for a, three for b

It's a grueling process and it's why I don't waste time on end punctuation

I hear they're working hard to find take 232 of "Heavy Metal Machine," where you can audibly hear James Iha stop giving a shit about the band.

But at this stage I'm sure that we'd have heard about it if that was the case. It's been going on for so long that any developments or announcements of announcements wouldn't likely be short notice.

They could have also released it on Februrary 29 in 2016.

There are bands that put out huge, monumental, influential albums 20 years ago, 10 years ago, 30 years ago that never got a reissue. Like it was said, if the label didn’t care 20 years ago to promote Machina why would they now? No one but diehard fans care. And maybe only 75% of people on here actually care.

Frankly, even I like Machina, but I would also torrent the reissue. (:

The new Beck though, I'm gonna pay cash $$ for it.. all the tracks so far are quality.

getting a nice deluxe package done isn't really a problem. even massive flops get big reissues now.

Six by Mansun got a lovely expansive deluxe reissue this year and that album bombed so hard originally that I think they withdraw it from sale. Vinyl copies went into landfill !

if labels loving sales was the real issue here, wouldn't this have come out before Christmas?

so that means instead of never coming out, it's back on schedule for some time in the next 15 years.

"Not at all" is a very vague comment about its time of release.
Looks like the 20th anniversary doesn't see a reissue...

With his recent comments about never returning to the Metro, can't help but wonder if whatever beef he has with that venue and Shanahan isn't coloring his willingness to ******* the "final" Metro show on this reissue box set.

I think Billy should release it on the 100th anniversary of Machina
29 February 2100

that would be the perfect timing!

edit: by that time Auggie's grandkids will be attending university and the funds from the Machina reissue can help fund their education.

tf does he have against the Metro? Is this some indie scene bullshit? Or him still salty about James not saying goodbye?

Hah, classic Corgan. Throw out several passive references to never wanting to play there again and then act all surprised when someone asks. Dude gets thousands of questions whenever he does a Q&A, actively chooses to mention the Metro at least three times in the past few months and then insults your intelligence with a "wtf you talking about?"

Bandcamp literally has a vinyl pressing Kickstarter type option. The foundation is already there, Billy. You don't even have to go to Kickstarter. Hell, Bandcamp will even handle the digital release. It is all there. It's pretty simple, start with a limited amount of vinyl for the first archive release and see the reaction. Don't overshoot. Do 500 copies and if it sells out, do another batch. Pretty fucking simple. Even better, with Bandcamp you can set a minimum goal, but also allow record sales to go over the goal. If you sell more than your minimum, Bandcamp will still press all of them along with whatever you sold over the minimum. Done, end of story. I don't see why he is making into such a big deal. The foundation has already been created for him. There's already a SP Bandcamp, so halfway there.

No issue, he just said that SP won't play small venues anymore.

i guess i just didn't expect him to throw Metro under that same bus

i suppose he also sees Bandcamp as the online equivalent of a "small venue" and therefore would ignore that potentially great vehicle of releasing these things
