if the "will the other members/other musicians in general record with the band" question doesn't get asked and answered i will know this event was a sham.

why bother? they won't pick any questions we'd actually want to hear the answer to.

probably just "why are you so awesome" and "why is everything you are doing right now so perfect" and "zeitgeist was your best album ever -- discuss" etc. etc.

billy doesn't seem to want to hear any criticism (however constructive and useful to him) or probing of some of his recent questionable decisions from his fans right now.

in 500 words or more, double spaced, tell me how you feel you and the band (jimmy or otherwise) have improved in terms of writing and recording since the culmination of Zeitgeist and, if you do, tell me why and how you feel G.L.O.W. is a significant improvement over that release.

This is playing off the idea of asking about their success.

With your personal view on the state of the music industry today and your eagerness to test new waters of distribution, whether its downloads, an album released in parts, or a single released through guitar hero, is there any opportunity for you and your band to rise to the same relevance, (not necessarily popularity) that it once had in the mid 90s? Do you feel like your personal integrity has gained or weakened in 20 years of rock n roll? How do you measure your own relevance vs. your own success?

how about:

"do you feel you will ever be able to attain the songwriting heights of SD or MCIS again? Do you want to do that?"

Please don't encourage Bill to go on rant about the music industry.

That's a really objective question, it's your opinion that SD and MCIS was the height of his songwriting. A lot of people think that Adore was the height of his songwriting. It doesn't mean that it really is.

uhhhhhh

1) will future pumpkins music be written from any particular framework or perspective in mind? zeitgeist seemed to come from an active/assertive approach to songwriting, like the band was making a comeback. how will this continue to evolve?

2) what informs the songwriting process? live performance at all? how has this developed and is it finding its way into new songs?

thats why you shouldnt mention albums, but asking whether or not he thinks the band is relevant and or succesful is interesting. id like to hear what he thinks has been a success and what hasnt, because even though many fans think of adore as his best work, im not so sure feels that way.

You've declared that people usually fall in love with a moment in the history of the band, and that this creates a conflict when you want to evolve as an artist. This analysis is certainly not without validity in some situations. However, there is also a section of your fan base who has followed your career from the very beginning, who loved Adore when it was released, and who was excited to hear your music even after the Pumpkins broke up. Keeping in mind that these fans aren't disappointed simply because the band's sound has changed, how do you make sense of their feeling that most Zeitgeist songs sound emotionally hollow? More specifically, I'm interested in knowing if you recognize any truth in that opinion. If yes, why? If not, why not? I'd really like to know how you relate to those songs at a more personal, intimate level. I want to know what it is about them that makes you think, "These are great songs."

Billy, are you afraid that Simon Cowell will burn you if you don't sing classically, every song? You sound like a robot on valium.
"The better the singer's voice, the harder it is to believe what he has to say." -David Byrne.

PS You can't sing. Try some goddamn emotion, you bland asshole.

Billy, do you have any intention of writing more songs where in the title of said song you replace the letter s with the letter z?. If so, may I have your current address so I can find you and slap you like a bitch to perhaps keep this from happening.

Diddnt Billy already answer this by saying that they were talking about recording together but that he planned on taking it on a song by song basis?. I believe he said something to the extent of he may use all memebers or only one or two in future song recordings depending on how he felt they added to the song.

is the band interested in playing a variety of venues, in regards to their size and location? a mix of huge arenas as well as less conventional, alternative venues.
