My old roommate rented it. It seemed boring from what I saw.

My favorite was the next to last one (I think). It was in a coliseum in the desert and you had to scale the entire thing and get it to destroy this bridge then jump on its shoulder and eventually get it to drop its weapon and stab it in the palm.
Amazing game. |

Shadow of the Colossus is one of my all time favorite games. The most memorable Colossi battle for me was the flying desert Colossus where you had to ride Arro to catch up with him and then jump onto his back. When you were fighting him in the air, it was simply nerve-wrecking because you felt like you were always about to fall off to your doom.
What an incredible game. |

The end of that game is so mind-blowing. It's like, nothing happens story-wise throughout the entire game and then BAM, an ending of epic proportions. |

personally i think shadow shouldn't have a sequel, it would spoil the game's mystique and profound uniqueness. shadow is a sequel -prequel- to ico anyway, so even though there is definitely a great series developing here in the mind of fumito ueda, each game should really be totally separate in terms of content. ico was more of a puzzle game, even though there was technically alot of fighting involved; shadow involves nothing more than the boss fights and the travelling between them. i'm not sure where the series will go from here but i know the designer will come up with something special.
anyway, my favourite battle was probably the one in the sand cave where that snake thing chases you and you have to shoot it while running awa on your horse. seeing those huge creepy orange eyes sailing at top speed through the sand behind you was just fantastic. also great were the flying battles, the underwater one, the lizard and the one in the ruined city where you have to smash the pillars in sequence. |
