Sonic Youth is one of the best bands ever.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CE7R_6UW2t0 Listening to this now. No one played like that in 1987. No one anyone knew about anyway. But Sonic Youth did. |

i dont know if i'd consider Rather Ripped to be 20 years ahead of time.
In saying that, they are my favorite band, of all time |

Well despite what you may think about their latest album, it's what SY did in the 80's and early/mid 90's that defines them as a band and that will never change. That's just greatness.
Rather Ripped is a pretty good album overall. Is it one of their best, maybe not. But I will say Kim has some of her strongest tracks on there. SY is still an amazing band. Last edited by Effloresce : 12-05-2006 at 10:47 PM. |

She isn't too embarrassing on that album and they did a good job of shutting her up for most of the album.
