I really liked this heavier aspect of the Machina shows. When you're 15 and ready to rock out in the pit it's the shit. However, it always came across to me as an attempt to maintain a relevant sound when "nu metal" was at its apex of popularity and every band was trying the style on for size. Especially songs like TEG.
