Thoughts on sky blue sky?
what are your thoughts and rankings relative to the other albums? i'm still digesting.
Hate It Here is my favorite so far, sounds kinda Beatles inspired. This is a very bluesy record. Walken has great music. Last edited by McCollum : 03-04-2007 at 07:16 PM. |

it has leaked, but seemingly it's a webrip, whatever that means. not good enough for oink standards, apparently.

On first listen I miss the more interesting arrangement and production from a Ghost is Born but it's a really solid album and it's of course very early days for a wilco album.
This was a beautiful unexpected pleasure to be listening to the new wilco album today. Didn't even know it was finished. Can't wait to see them for the first time at Primavera. |

I need to listen to it way more closely to make any real observations, but I will say that On & On & On is fantastic, as is You Are My Face. I think the only song that really stands out to me as being weak is Shake It Off. Maybe it'll grow on me though.

i think this album is pretty fantastic and it has such a cool vibe to it
it can be quite easily disregarded as boring or dad-rock, but you're a fuckface if you think that |

This album is so...positive. It's kinda weird and off-putting in that way. Give me some dark, brooding songs, Jeff! I think he was a better songwriter when he was hopped up on painkillers.

am i really the only one that does not like it??? the production is horrible. Example: Impossible Germany. That song live was EXPLOSIVE... but on album its weak and pitiful. And what happened to all the expirementation???? The album is really flat... i was VERY dissapointed. This is all coming from a HUGE wilco fan too, ive seen them three times and each time blew me the hell away. But now im dissapointed to the max... Tweeds, what happened man.

I'm liking this a lot. Has a 70's feel to it.
