Well the democrats have been rather silent and inactive since taking over the majority

Congress' approval rating is 18%. I'd like to see 100% turnover, ideally.

They need to blur the line even more. That'll work.

If Obama wins, I'd like to see a Republican Congress. If McCain wins, I'm hoping the Dems keep control.

I know, and I don't get it. Not because I'm biased either. Democrats accomplished everything they said they'd do, except for most things related to the Iraq war -- you may love, hate, or be indifferent to their actions but the fact is, they did pretty much everything. But when it came to Iraq, Bush and the other half of the Senate pushed them away every time. Plus, it's a fact that they do not have enough of a majority to overturn a veto, so they're also pretty helpless there. Not much they can do about that, unless they want to cut funding completely and then get blamed for troops getting killed etc. It would have made for glorious spin this election season and they would have been raped, and not to mention failed in their efforts due to backlash.

I totally understand the frustration, and Nancy Pelosi isn't exactly the best communicator to a lot of people (and I think Harry Reid should be replaced honestly), but I often wonder if they even take into account what I said above. I have a feeling that they do not when Gallup calls them up.

Sure, consider the source, but the examples are all also cited and sourced.

They also failed on nearly everything they promised in the notorious "first 100 days" Pelosi speech

Worse Congress in U.S. history.

Every damn one of them should be kicked out - which happened to the House here in Pennsylvania two years ago, basically.

109th Congress says hello.

I'm not saying the 110th is some kind of gift to mankind, but come on.

Well, when you consider the history of the 109th (i.e. what its key players did in previous terms), it is fair to say less is more. You can argue that the Democrats are being ineffective, but at least they aren't nearly as corrupt. I'd imagine they spent the first year just cleaning Tom DeLay's vile off the walls, holy shit.

It's the leadership in the Democratic party. There were some truly remarkable young, new Democrats elected this last go around but the party will never go anywhere with people like Reid and Pelosi in power.

Reid especially needs to go.

Hillary should be trying to get his job.
