Default Is it Just Me, or Do Musical Artists Seldom Get Wikipedia Articles Anymore?

Used to be that it I was getting into a band, I would look up their Wikipedia articles for a quick overview of their history. But these days, I get into a band, and they have no Wiki entries.

I understand that Wikipedia has notability guidelines, but it seems to be that plenty of independent artists had articles in the past. My understanding is that a person passes the notability criteria if there are more than a couple secondary sources on them instead of all the information on them coming from their own blogs or their proud aunt's social media. But maybe they made the criteria stricter over the last few years. Or maybe fewer people are interested enough to document newer artists, I dunno.

I just wanna get the low-down on a band whose tracks I dig without spending time tracking down interviews and reviews because I'm lazy. And bands' own websites/social media are usually light on interesting details.

Question

No, they're all here. I checked. ... Wait. Wait. Where is Grave Next Door? WHERE IS GRAVE NEXT DOOR?

I haven't noticed this trend myself, but it looks like from the current notability standards, the rules for articles seem strict. Seems like they rule out interviews, published press releases, and articles that are just announcing show date(s). Other criteria also seem strict (like they can't just be signed to an indie label; it needs to be "one of the more important indie labels").

Also, do The Kids Today view Wikipedia like they do Facebook? Would a younger band even want a page there? Like "Oooh, an article on the site I used to get my homework answers from, so cool [very sarcastic]"? I have no idea.

Nimrod's Son tried that. They wouldn't publish it because apparently he wasn't as famous as he believed himself to be.
