That's hilarious. From now on, it'll be hard to read beltemormon's posts and NOT imagine this voice.

hehe, I prefer Trots. Mainly because I imagine Belty-boy as a pseudo-intellectual, knuckle-dragging moron.

it's makes it seem that "real music" just sort of ended with grunge for him

since that's clearly the only 90s pool of singers & songwriting he's pickin from

that forum's rebuttals to the claim are for the most part pretty lame though

In the same vein. i wish , actually i THOUGHT by now everyone had lost their hard on for Jeff Buckley but i guess not. Would not be remembered today had he not died. I still don't understand why anyone ever cared.

That forum reminds me that no one else really takes SP seriously

Just another 90's band. For me 90's SP were just so far above anything else of that decade, it's weird

Well, the Pumpkins still sell better and get more public reaction/popularity than pretty much any other 90s band except NIN, Radiohead and Pearl Jam...so, essentially, you're wrong.

Have you heard of Radiohead? How about My Bloody Valentine?

And then there's SLEEP.

I saw Sleep live two years ago. Was horrible. The Pumpkins and Byrne had nothing on the terribleness that was Sleep. Out of those three bands you mentioned, the only one that is still any good live is MBV.
