i understand that it is likely to vary widely from day to day. it depends on the weather, and whether or not it's a weekend, and what season it is, and what your plans are, etc.

but please attempt to come up with a daily average. please exclude how things might be if you are on a vacation, i'm trying to get a feel for people's regular day to day lives.

also, please feel free to comment on what this time consists of (working doing ____, eating lunch, walking to and from ________, sunbathing, etc. etc. etc.)

since i work inside with no windows upwards of 12 hours a day i try to get outside for 3-4 hours to do yardwork, walk the dogs, shoot some hoops, etc

The only time I'm in the sun is the walk from a building to a vehicle. oh and once a week for 3-4 hours straight on the golf course.

if you get direct sunlight on your skin (not just a tiny part of your neck, for example), then sure, i suppose that should count

i voted for number 3, because i've been making an effort to spend a few minutes outside, but for a long time, option 2 would have been most accurate



my time consists of literally standing outdoors in the sun, sometimes sitting, while taking a break from work. i don't really get much direct sunlight during my commute, so i didn't count that time

I work 9 hours a day at least 5 days a week at a job that has me outside for most of that time.

it is true that i either hike or go bike riding every saturday morning and i spend several hours doing that, but i picked the third option cause thats what most of my life feels like, going to school and work. the only reason it was option 3 and not 2 is cause i take the train half my commute and a walk a few blocks to work and take in the neighborhood a bit.

Working at Lowes for the summer.

Work as a loader which is the easiest job a person can have. Basically walk around the store and do whatever to make it look like I'm doing something. Load peoples cars occasionally to get tips, and bring in some shopping carts when we get low on them. But mostly it's just hanging outside talking to the other loaders, who are all also other college kids.

Between one to two hours when I ride my bike in the morning. It's usually not too hot out then but I do burn like a mofo.

about an hour for my run every day. i tried to shoot some hoops last week but was quickly reminded why i quit after grade school. also have to mow once a week- my dads name starts with 'To' but it doesnt end in 'by'

i spend most of the day in the sun. it's is a new thing for me though, living on this farm. i work in the garden and yard, take care of animals, do lots of fixing and building of various things, and go for walks in the fields or the woods. there's lots of work to do, and luckily 99% of it is outdoors.

I'm normally never outside but this summer's placed me in the sun for quite some bit during the day. I'm outside maybe 1 to 2 hours before sundown, then another 2 or 3 after.

last summer it was nearly every day b/c I was trying to get my garden in and do a little landscaping
this summer will be the same....it's awesome outside until the wildfires start up
