"Ugly" appreciation thread

haven't listen to this song in such a long time. Simple yet effective in its rhythm.

i love the simplicity of the arrangement. Its another song like STRTJ that doesn't really go anywhere.. yet its perfect just the way it is.

It could have used some percussion. At least some more cowbell.

Gravity demos is great, 1979/TAFH is boring and dull and stupid.

one of my least favorite on TAFH. i remember as a teenager enjoying every song on this but now i skip around a lot, i think there's like 4 or 5 songs on the box set that I actually like.

The Aeroplane Flies High, the song, deserves much more love.

Ugly is a terrific song. love when the chorus pedal guitar kicks in.

1979 ep is prob my favorite from the box set.

Great tune. I broke the D string on my guitar but the E and the A are still okay so I did that song when I busted the D. Still kinda worked. Can't think of many other SP songs you can get away with that. Maybe Spaceboy but not really.

Ugly was awesome when i was 13, now it's a little too much to take seriously.

TAFH, however, is amazing. I have done the car-ride-blasting thing with it many times.

I've been on that fix for the past 10 years or so.

Ugly, Cherry and STRTJ go so well together... all very sparse and sedated.

Ugly is easily one of the worst songs Billy has ever written in my opinion. And the drum machine or whatever it is sounds like shite. Though presumably the song is an unfinished demo.
