ultimately you have to be doing this for yourself unless you got trapped into one lover going "oh you smell good" and then you just never ever deviated from that forumula

lol i got the "extreme" flanker as a gift from someone who bought it and didn't like it. it doesn't even have a cap. yea it's kind of bullshit. guerlain vetiver is one of my hall of fame favorites but the extreme version is garbage.

when i was on vacation recently, my cousin's ex-husband's wife was standing next to me in the morning and i said whoa you smell good. she said it's really expensive but her husband buys it for her.

i looked it up and that stuff is $310 for 100ml/3.3 oz and you can have it personalized with your fucking name on the bottle. that's so many meals.

Not as many meals as it should be. But while I understand an occasional splurge on expensive perfume/clothes/jewelry etc, it's hard for me to wrap my head around justifying that regularly.

the most mainstream secret hip new rage but it's just an estee lauder brand. hanging around rich people is cool when they pay for your food and drinks, but man, everything they got makes my stuff look like trash.

it's a definite insecurity that stems from growing up working class and having roaches in my house and stuff. my brain can sometimes be preoccupied with not wanting to "look poor" but feel like it just oozes right outta me!

i wonder how i would handle being rich. wonder if i would justify dumb purchases like that and get a rolls royce n a top hat.

I dunno, it seems like when you go to the drink fountain and get the bright idea to mix several soda pops together into a super-drink, only to lament your choice because your carefully ratio'd concoction of seven-parts Fresca to five-parts Fruitopia + a splash of ginger ale doesn't taste nearly as good as any one of these beverages on their own.

Like, food chemists and flavour engineers paid by the biggest corporations in the world worked hard to produce what's in those fountains today, and a mere mortal such as I should think that I could improve upon their bestowal? Hubris.

do you realize that most perfumes are just combinations of essential oils? like the majority of the perfume world just layers on musk, patchouli, or whatever however they see fit?

i usually do like 7-8 sprays of a light vetiver frag this time of year but last weekend i was going on a road trip so i did 7-8 sprays of this shit without thinking

and the guy at the gas station told me i smelled like a french whore house and i smiled and thanked him i was super happy
