Can we have a perfume / cologne thread?

This thread inspired me to see if my cologne had gone bad, having bought it pre-pandemic and probably not used it at all once said pandemic struck, and good news: it still smells fine

I sprayed some in the air and passed through it and folks, there is literally no telling what kind of crazed debauchery I'm going to get into tonight, I feel twice as alive and absolutely mad with power, and the laws of man and God alike have no bearing on my behavior

It's this woodsy shit, which I found at some little arty shop and thought I was getting something cool and unusual, and then practically the next day I saw it at the grocery store

sometimes i get spooked about a perfume "going bad" too. it's all garbage, but like I won't spend 200$ on a discontinued bottle that's 5 years old. they say 5 years in general for the cheaper stuff.

i know for a fact that you're not being ironic or sarcastic because spraying smells absolutely uplifts your mood and your self-esteem.

i've had that instyle one for yeeeeears and barely a dent.

the last purchase was the green tea lavender one after running out of the regular green tea scent. i got two samples with that purchase (prada candy and gucci memoire) and they both smell p good, but the gucci one is muh favorite.

but i am not splurging on that until i meet my savings goal in late august.

.005 percent of the population is allergic to it so the outlawed it in the EU (you can still buy polo knockoffs in walmart that uses real oak moss - smells more like the original than the current reformulations)

they really fucked perfume ingredients in the 90s.

Oh wow, yeah, I had a bottle of this a long time ago, too, possibly the first cologne I ever consciously picked out? Totally forgot about that.

I also totally forgot about Drakkar Noir but immediately LOL'd when I saw it posted. I don't remember what it smelled like but like, in a sense, I completely do? You know?

i would sample that tbh

this might be common knowledge but they do make fragrances that smell like things like turpentine, tar, gasoline, industrial glue, basically anything you can think of.

I have a commes des garcons that my mom swears smells like dried out wood that's had booze poured on it.
