Default Instructions for sharing Stellar (iTunes)

These instructions will allow PC users to remove the Digital Rights Management (DRM) protection from iTunes content that they own. The program captures the unencrypted data in RAM and then writes a new file without the DRM. Please share Stellar. Thanks.

1. Unzip http://www.hymn-project.org/download/QTFairUse6-2.5.zip to c:\qtfairuse
2. Unzip http://www.hymn-project.org/download/QTFairUse6-Cfg.zip to c:\qtfairuse overwriting the existing file
3. Copy Stellar to c:\qtfairuse
4. Launch iTunes
5. Launch c:\qtfairuse\QTFairUse6.exe
6. Select “Process just these files...”
7. Click “Add files…” and select Stellar from c:\qtfairuse
8. Unselect “Automatically replace protected files…”
9. Click “Start conversion”
10. Share the newly created m4a file

What I did was put Flacs (decompressed to WAVs) of the other 14 tracks around stellar in Itunes and use Itunes to burn my ultimate 15 track version, without the 2-second gaps or course.

and i bought 3 fucking versions of the album (target, best buy, deluxe)

Wouldn't the original poster's method produce a lossless (as in no loss from the original m4p audio) copy (at a fraction of the file size)? Or is there re-encoding involved?

I'd also suggest that everyone buy a few DRM-free iTunes tracks to send the DRM message to the record companies.

If you've downloaded an illegal copy of Stellar, perhaps buy a DRM-free track to offset your karma?

Do what the fuck you like. I can't get Zeitgeist in Australia until Saturday!
