i don't think anyone really expected this to be a cakewalk for the guy, tho. however, i did see that the clinton people are organizing a "whip team" to prevent protesters from getting overly zealous about causing trouble at the convention. what that exactly means, i have no idea. fuck. |

The truth hurts.
Obama's been campaigning his ass off for how many months now? Hillary alone gave him a severe beating even if he made it through. At this point, he's exhausted, Obama fever is dying down a bit since he had no choice but to come out with it in full force during the primaries to keep going, and McCain is taking advantage. |

i don't get why have your panties in such a tight knot.
i just looked at the fivethirtyeight thing, and it's still projecting obama as the winner. as soon as the VP's get announced, this thing is going to amp the fuck up again, then we'll probably see some *action*. |

Al Gore helped make the ticket look really young and energized after 12 years of old white dudes. Guys like Quayle, Kemp, Lieberman, and Edwards were pretty useless. I'd agree that most of the time, that is indeed the case. But there are and will continue to be exceptions. I think the VP's that both Obama and McCain pick will be really important this election, perhaps the most important in many, many years. You can bet a guy like Mitt Romney would help, after all McCain admitted he knows nothing about the economy. You can also bet that anyone who has good foreign policy credentials will be an automatic plus for Obama, since that's his greatest perceived weakness. |
