Are you sure that it's a music release, I think it is just about that pumpkin scented candle being available at Zuzus.

There will be something. From the look of it, a hideously expensive candle you have to buy to get a facsimile cassette with bits missing because they don't want to deal with licensing/royalties for covers again. Prove me wrong Corgan!

Yeah those are some of the best shows of their entire careers. That LSD + bigger crowd + Billy with some confidence shows are fucking incredible.

not sure what's wilder, the fact that the 2 main pumpkin shows being talked about on the board right now are the exact same date, 5 years a part, or the fact that - despite the wild differences between albums from '93-'00 and all the other crazy shit they went through in those years alone - how unmistakable the actual band itself is in both shows

that's the best way I can describe it right now and if you don't like it you can fuck off!

Lmao it’s a candle you pillocks, don’t you see the partnership with some lolajamessharper?

This is Yoko Corgan taking over the SP biz empire. Still a better idea than ATUM

Nice - When Frank went through the vault collection this show wasn't listed as having a SBD for.

I won't complain too much about another archive release as i'm extremely pleased - I just wish the Pumpkins crew would go through SPLRA and check if we have any recordings for a show and prioritise the ones where no audience recording exists!

Imagine a professional archivist coordinating such a ridiculously.complex piece of work. Would take at least 10 years or so, minimum, to be able to cross reference one database with another...

Cassette track listing is missing Soma. Maybe omitted? Will be great to hear it, but it’s a strange choice for a release, as it’s not a particularly interesting show, especially given the shows around it. The show just before this one on 4/10/94 is epic. Only Tristessa of the spring 94 tour, Sweet Sweet, Mayonaise, Luna, early version of Bullet with Butterfly Wings, Starla, Never Let Me Down, etc. Maybe it was a matter of having recorded some shows and not others?

4/10/94 was two hours long.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Billy didn't have his ADAT recording setup until 1995, maybe starting with the Double Door shows?
So professional recordings from before this may be spotty and vary in quality. He may have selected this show if it just sounds better.

That said, I have no idea why these archival releases are largely skipping the ADAT recorded shows. I think it's just the Viper Room?

IIRC billy's "crew of retard misfits" hauled around an 8track tape recorder to tape the shows. now sure how he afforded all that tape (cause it's not cheap).

they must think pumpkins fans are incredibly stupid (and they are) if they think they can get away with pedaling this crap.

can't wait to see the price on this one.

it's a tape so you can just put it on the burning candle and become a bona fide member of the Rat Bastard Brigade right from your own home

You've gotta admit that vinyl would have been a nicer burn though.

Interestingly, Nashville 4/12/94 is one of the few SD shows not to have I Am One, and by extension no rant. Maybe that factored in. They listened back to the recordings and even they didn’t want to hear that nonsense. Maybe it ruined the vibe of the candles.

I’m so pumped for this. I hope they ******* some limited edition scents. I hate how they always inflate the price of these tapers with some records nobody wants. Just throw in some more wax Billy!

Actually, there must be an edit after Siva on the existing audience recording, even though it’s listed as complete on splra. The way the audience recording is now, there isn’t an encore break between Siva and Silverfuck, which can’t be right. And the cover of the cassette in the candle video has I Am One and Starla listed after Siva, which must be missing from the audience recording.
