We are all just animals. Animals eat each other. There's nothing immoral about it. It is life. IMO the question is whether they've had an ethical and good life. I'd rather eat a pig that lived well on the land, than a squirrel raised in a cage. And vice versa

i bought a crockpot recently because it's fall and i need to honor my midwest upbringing

i don't eat meat due to moral superiority which makes it hard/annoying to find recipes. but it is killer regardless. i love putting zero effort into something and having it be good. also you could leave it on for like a week if you wanted with even less food safety concerns

i know it's a cliche but every time i got home from school and smelled/saw the crockpot going i was like uggghhh mommmmm fuckkkk nooooooooo

crockpot reigns supreme but something got mishandled when people began referring to such meals as "dump dinners"

I love my crockpot but definitely cook mostly meat dishes in it. I still am more of a stove top cook, because I constantly adjust seasoning and don't trust the amounts suggested in recipes

I also have a pressure cooker which I've used like 5 times and could totally live without

To the extent that these things are like slow cookers, I hate them. Meals really thrive on multiple textures.

Is there a difference between crockpot and slow cooker? I use the terms interchangeably for the same piece of equipment
