Ohh, that would be cool. Could have probably done most of these back in the day. Probably have a few tracks left in me that would be honest to the original. But I don't really have a recording set up at home. (Crappy e-kit set up in garage for occasional practice, is certainly no match for the quality of your guitar work / sounds on these). There is a dude round here that sometimes posts his band playing SP cover shows. Can't remember his name (it'll come back to me). But he is really on point when it comes to Jimmy's parts. Maybe he would be down?

paranoid, can you use the live drums only mixes on my YouTube channel I linked you to? There's a bit of guitar bleed but it won't be noticeable depending how you mix it.

What's your personal approach to using the Fender Blender?

The best I've managed was to back right off the treble from the guitar's end and put it immediately behind a boost plus a Hendrix Fuzz Face-type pedal turned all the way up, but it's still a wild and largely unmusical beast I'll typically leave out of the starting lineup.

i find it works best when blended with a high gain amp.. if you want to get the distortion sound out of your amp to have more of a fuzz sound. for the bullet cover vid i switch it on after the second chorus in that middle part, and you can hear the difference. Had gain all the way up on the amp, had the blend set to about 3 or 4. so lower blend setting and it still is very present. It almost has too much fuzz to make it musical. other than that it's great for just general chaotic noise and feedback.. so if I'm not blending it, I'm treating it like it's there to sound like everything is getting destroyed.

that hummer fucking rocks

ever since quarantine started i've been working on actually learning songs, learning leads and how pedals work and shit. hummer is the most fun to play easily, the droning intro, the octave solo thing in the middle, the build, the dreamy outro. like, i can see myself playing those parts while also recognizing you're really good and way better than me

like, i have a black strat too and it's a $80 squier from a pawn shop. it's a perfect metaphor

anyway yeah i'll get back to the forum in 10 years when i can actually buy drum mics and/or get better at guitar
