You have plenty of time to think. I just bought mine. I don't know why they're playing the Backyard. It's too large of a venue.

I would be surprised if they fit 4,500 people in there though! I always remember it to be a relatively small venue. Especially because the Woodlands show is 17,000 and the Dallas show is like 6,000. |

the woodlands pavillion sucks. it's pretty but the sound is like half as loud as any other venue i've ever been in.

Oh, it looks like EITS won't be opening this show either, according to their website. But since this SP show was just announced, maybe they just haven't announced it yet. |

Just received an email reply from EITS that they will not be opening this show.
Bummer. No openers in Austin and Dallas?! |

The Backyard isn't really suited to tailgating anymore. It used to be a venue in the woods, but now it's surrounded by shopping centers and assorted crap.

can't wait for these texas shows. epscially with the setlists still changing.
so am i correct in my thinking that the backyard is a large GA area vs. the Dallas show which is just a small GA pit up front? |

kewl. so sounds like it makes sense to show up earlier for Austin, since Dallas is pretty small to begin with and inherently will be a good spot (like the Indiana show I went to...or the seated pit @ Normal).
so Andrew -- are you going to both? i plan on wearing my big lebowski shirt for 1 of the days, in honor of you. hopefully the laundry gods will allow it. |
