Far from a Linkin Park fan here (but not due to thinking I'm better than Nu Metal - I'm a Deftones guy) but two thoughts:

1.) When Chester died, I read SO many posts about how much that guy and this band meant to people. It opened up my eyes about how much they meant. I knew they were a big band and all of that, but they meant a TON to people. Some really touching posts from people I knew and didn't. And not just like "oh, man - I loved that band!" type stuff. Like "They are what got me into music." and "They saved my life." type stuff. Wish I had saved one or two of what I'm talking about, because the more I type the less it holds gravity. Oh well.

2.) This is my favorite song of theirs and this video by Romanek is so damned cool. Shame it's only out there in 360p. This one NEEDS an HD release.

their first 2 albums were definitely in heavy rotation for me & "the boys" when they first came out, though I'll admit they'd absolutely lost me by the 3rd album (though admittedly that probably has a lot to do w/ the 4 year gap between those records & my own personal "journey" in that time)

those first 2 & reanimation though, would be a lie to say they weren't a big part of my musical youth

fuzzy didn't actually like the band, though. he merely stuck around to do the real-life version of this emote while telling us in the most condescending way possible we should be listening to real music like NOFX or the Spin Doctors
