Notes: The final show of the Spirits on Fire tour, supported by Poppy (recorded) and Jane's Addiction (recorded). With many special guests, including Mike Garson, Frank Catalano, The Veronicas, Willow Smith, professional wrestlers, a referee, and the Corgan family dance troupe in their Beguiled dinosaur outfits. Of particular interest is Catalano's screaming nightmarish saxophone solo in Silverfuck, and Garson's on keyboards joining an acoustic Tonight, Tonight (although it sounded too hot in the mix).

Some notes as follows:
- I've attempted to find and ******* all known performances. However if you have any footage of songs i may have missed please get in touch!
- As this is being released at Christmas i've included Christmas songs! Some footage of these is quite shaky so be warned! I haven't included the livestream performance which took place on 2021-12-22
- I've included a nunber of audio only tracks at the end for completeness. There is a video of Farewell and Goodnight although I've included it as audio only as it was heavily out of sync
- Some footage is lower quality or just partial song clips. Again, I've included these for completeness although have put them towards the later part of the video
- Silver Bells (2021/12/19) and O Tannenbaum (2021/12/18) are a number of clips edited together (hence the slight skips) and is incomplete
- Christmas Dreaming, Amarinthe, San Antonio Rose, Angie, Mary Star of the Sea and Today (2017/09/23) as well as a few other songs are clips only and therefore incomplete
- Some of the 2016/05/29 footage is slightly dark from the light behind. I've tried to make less dark in places where possible
- Some videos have been sync'd to alternative audience recordings if they are higher quality audio
- This compilation doesn't ******* anything 2022 onwards such as Wintersongs. I had to stop somewhere!

I ended up doing it by what I enjoyed! I wanted to mix the dates up rather than just doing one date and then another and then i put some of the lesser quality videos owards the end for consistency.

Only one I wish I'd moved further forward was the Velvet Underground cover as really enjoyed that!

Also shortened the synth stuff.. that didn't need a 40 minute version per one

"Before the Rubano Tapes Vol. 1 was announced this show was not known about. This new information led the SPLRA team to make a post about the show in a O'Cayz forum, and it just so happened that someone commented saying they had attended with their friend who had actually recorded it. Through this lead we managed to get ahold of the taper who agreed to allow us to transfer the show.

A massive thank you to our taper Matthew Rogers for recording this and allowing us to do a fresh transfer of his tape. Thank you to Captain Fireball for his transfer and to Ted Mattes for helping coordinate and deliver."

"While having a fun gig booking bands at the student union of UW-Madison, I popped in a demo tape by a band called the 'Smashing Pumpkins.' It was a visceral experience, the equivalent of a meteor exploding overhead that lighted the way home. I had to book them there and see them as often as I could. Not long afterward, they were playing down the street at the O'Cayz Corral bar. I fired my roommates up for the show and we got there early and drank 5 pitchers of Blatz beer in our excitement. I had decided to tape this show and somehow managed to record it on my Sony Walkman with an external lavalier microphone on the lapel of my jacket. Against all odds, it came out quite well I think and reflects a golden age in the history of the Smashing Pumpkins. I hope you enjoy it."

It amazes me that there are still gems like this to be found in the wild. Makes me wonder what other stuff is sitting forgotten in someone's basement degrading or to just be thrown out in the trash when they eventually pass away.

We did an extract recently of known recordings which aren't surfaced and we're talking about nearly 4 figures.

That's without even considering things such as this which we never even knew about. Know a few traders who lost their recordings to house floods in the basement as well. Unlike a wine this stuff does not often get better with age!

When looking at what multicam to make next I realised I hadn't made one for any of the 2019 Pumpkins' shows yet. I chose the Dallas show as there wasn't alot of source material to work with and was an opportunity to experiment with layering multiple audio sources and utilising the big screens around the venue to try and get something workable

- Only one video source available for Tiberius and Blue Skies Bring Tears
- Matrixed a number of audio sources to make more listenable although still tinny in places at times
- Start of Tonight, Tonight I've left as audio only for a few seconds as the camera footage was shaky
- Megatron screens utilised where available as there wasn't much close up footage of the band available
