Yeah, he had released a lot of nels cline singers records before he had joined wilco, and he still plays and tours with them often. One of my favorite groups to listen to at the moment. Anything nels does that's in the free jazz/noise vein, I'm really into.

I've noticed that his duo performance with bill Frisell is pretty hit or miss with a lot of people, but I love them both as guitarists and the big sur video is a pretty cool performance.

Love sun ra arkestra, lots of great recordings from that group.

I liked it thank you. I love his solo in "impossible germany", and the live versions are even better than studio

Not sure if noise/blues is acceptable, but there's this japanese band called The Stars (their guitarist recorded with Boris a few years ago):
