Not to make David's passing all about Billy, but I got into both his films and the Pumpkins around the same time, 2008/2009. This was a bummer but not a shock -- I'd read he was pretty much housebound and hooked to an oxygen tank. I'd started rewatching Twin Peaks from the beginning about a month ago and then just stopped. I think I'll start back up. A very unique guy.

It's inpossible to overstate the impact this man had on so many. It might be a cliché, but the world's a shittier place without him. It was NIN and SP via the Lost Highway soundtrack that first really got me into his works so long ago. I saw some Twin Peaks as a kid but didn't retain much from it. Revisiting it was one of the most rewarding experiences ever.
