Preferably, songs from this year, but I'll take whatever you've got. I'm making a mix for a friend who's had a really shit year, and I'm trying to keep it all upbeat. (Not necessarily poppy; just looking for stuff with good vibes.) Any genre's good.

I'm sure there will be joke answers, which is fine, but it'd be cool if it's something you genuinely like, 'cause I could also personally use just some general recommendations of what's good out there these days. I'll be digging through the "Track of the day" thread, too.

OH FUCK. I cannot express how good it feels to hear Björk singing what sounds like an actual song again, and I don't care how much work it took other people to make that happen. Thanks very much for this, and to the both of you for your other contributions.

I may very well throw this Björk on there even though I don't think he was ever particularly into her stuff. It's so goddamn good.

I would contribute but I realize that sparkly K Pop videos don't make everyone happy. Plus, I can't really narrow down a year's worth of girl group music. It's a fast paced world.
