Question So...anyone going to the UK tour?

I'm considering going to the Glasgow date.

Was going to make a separate thread, but thought that the interest here would only merit the one thread (how times change)

also, you're going to give paventmettittunittu a heart attack. she has ocd and has made a thread per announced gig. including one for the glasgow show.

on the other hand, this thread is about anyone going to any of the UK shows, so i guess it would be wrong to discuss this in the glasgow show. OMG IDUNNO WHAT TIO DO PAVEMENTT WHAT TODO??!? let's sleep on it and make an ppontment with the shrink for tomoros

I'm looking forward to seeing Ash too. Wembley though, it's going to be pretty empty for sure.

no. missed out as tickets sold out so fast - yet of course there will be plenty of space inside the venue. the last act i saw at the Academy was Garbage, who were pretty good, before that Manson who was shit. i was half-inclined to jump a train from Liverpool and try and pick up a ticket outside, but i don't know if i can be arsed as i'm paranoid i'll either get charged a stupid amount (in which case i'm fucking off back home) or the ticket will be a fake. pissed off basically

The touts tend to give up after doors open and you can usually pick up a ticket for face value as they're glad to get rid of them.

its kind of pushing it now time-wise plus i am moving in with my gf across the other side of country next month so can't really justify the expense either. thank you for the info though, i've never actually bought from a tout, though you pretty much always get approached by them outside a venue.

yeah, there's that too. when i saw the Pumpkins on the last tour at the Apollo in Manchester I'd say the seated section was 90%+ full, but with tell-tale blocks of seating (including immediately to my right - about 8 seats) vacant. suspicious! it's just not worth the hassle for me as i have to get a train over to the show; if i lived locally i would take a stroll at like 8.30pm , see what i could pick up. oh well

Was going to go to Glasgow, but have a shoot booked, so that settles it. Did flirt with the idea, and I hope the show goes well. Not crushed that I'll miss it though.

yeah, me neither really. would have gone primarily to hear Oceania played start-finish. i enjoyed the 6 songs they played on the last tour and would like to see how the rest played live. not too fussed about the second half of the show. with shitty british public transport, plus bands always coming on late i'd have been off to the train with 1-3 songs left to play anyways as i don't want to pay for a hotel again.

I wonder how Wembley is selling. The last time I looked, standing was still for sale

I just hope that Wembley gets the Gish trilogy of songs that they've done a few times as an encore recently.
