Default Best program to convert/burn in 2021

In the early 2000's to about 6,7 years ago I was big into trading, downloading bootlegs

I last used trader's little helper if I remember correctly.
What are programs people use in 2021?

For ripping CDs, EAC aka Exact Audio Copy. Lots of the big torrent sites recommend it.

I didn't for years but last month my main music HDD got wiped.

I. Lost. So. Much. Stuff.

I now live in fear of my backup external HDD getting corrupted. Data rot is also a thing that exists.

So yeah I just bought a bunch of CD-Rs two days ago so I can save some of the bootlegs I've managed to reacquire thus far. You're goddamned right people do and I'm one of them again.

I did that when I moved a few years ago. Donated them to a thrift shop, lol. None of my computers even have CD/DVD drives anymore.

recordable optical media doesn't last long either - a few decades at most, then they start to rot as well:

Yeah, I know. I actually had this b-movie adaptation of Call Of Cthulhu about a decade plus ago - I got to watch it once, when I went back about a year later - one damn year - the entire bottom looked like swirls of green tar.

Meanwhile the CDs I burned Machina II on way back in the day are, amazingly, still good. Maybe that'll change, but I'd rather have some relatively stable CDs for a couple of decades than put all my eggs into one basket again. This shit taught me a lesson.
