This is incredible to witness. I really love to see Billy/band working in this context. I've always been intrigued at how he commanded the band in the musical direction.

Really surprised this one doesn't appear to be on Youtube. This is the second date of the Metro shows of which the first show video (1992-07-23) circulates around alot.

Edit: Tried to upload a 720p mkv version of Smashing Pumpkins - The Celestials (Live on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno) - 2012-08-23. This is an unlisted source on splra which only has a .flv rip.

However... Jay Leno show has blocked it so i can't upload it unfortunately. Happy to stick it up somewhere else if anyone wants it (and can provide me a link where i can upload it easily!)

I always felt that show was one of the greatest most powerful Zero’s they ever performed live.

Billy Corgan - 2005-07-07 - The Pageant, St Louis, Missouri, US

https://youtu.be/_UaatfGHH_Y

Quote:
7/7/05 - St. Louis - The Pageant

Run time roughly 45 minutes
Recorded by Mike G, bitch
JVC DVL805 Mini DV
trasferred using a/v cable to hommade switch box > computer > Pinnacle Studio > DVD > computer

songs:
I'm Ready
Mina Loy (M.O.H.)
To Love Somebody [Bee Gees]
A100
I Want You
Pride (In the Name of Love) [U2] (tease)
Johanna [Iggy Pop/James Williamson]
DIA
Pretty, pretty STAR
Bit 7
Strayz
Walking Shade

Note: The person who recorded this stopped recording between most songs to "save battery life" (fool), so there are a few short bits cut at the beginning and the ends of some songs.
All in all this is a pretty decent video. Some nice closeups. Focusing on Billy pretty much the entire time.

Smashing Pumpkins - 2000-08-11 - Molson Park, Barrie, Ontario, Canada

If you're interested in watching Smashing Pumpkins live shows i wouldn't start with this one! It's a pretty rough recording and is more being shared for archival purposes. It was also transferred from VHS to .mpg back in the day by mikeman so the quality isn't great, on what was already about 3rd/4th gen transfer version! Saying all that if you want to imagine what it would be like to watch a Smashing Pumpkins concert on a trampoline with ear defenders on after 10 beers, then this is the concert for you.
