So glad I wasn't the only one who started wearing black during the Adore era. I also drank tea for a while.

I DON'T GIVE A FUCK.

Yeah I've never read that Luna is about CL either. Or Silverfuck.

I was infected with the black garments meme around that time too. It hasn't resolved itself, I'm afraid.

Sometimes I get the urge to wear a bright color such as orange but then black is just too damned good to me.

i always assumed the box underneath my bed line was the same box referred to by cobain in "heart-shaped box"

and i remember some story about billy's love letters being in the box or something? i dont remember now

but that's what makes me think silverfuck is about CL

"i'd write a letter to you...and there'd be nothing to it"

charles cross' HEAVIER THAN HEAVEN kurt bio references billy's love letters to courtney

that line from blank really makes me think about what Billy's mindset was going into MCIS. one of the other major things he was depressed about was "not having any cultural significance/not having an archetype" as spelled out by CL in the Spin 94 artist of the year issue. he was really depressed about not being iconic like kurt. hence shaved head, ZERO, pants, etc.

i mean, i think it worked for a lot of ppl - when i was growing up, Corgan was always a CLOSE second to Cobain in terms of 90s icons. Vedder was a pissant. it surprised me to learn later on that Billy didnt see himself that way, neither did a lot of people

i was too young to know before MCIS, but he definitely was after that. but he doesn't seem to get respect for it these days. none of them really do anymore, and maybe that's the way it should - then again i don't know how teenagers view them in general

i agree that vedder didn't get talked about much - i'd say chris cornell was more than vedder... and even scott weiland, for that matter
