Google Trends: "Smashing Pumpkins"
Sad/hilarious:
http://www.google.de/trends/viz?q=%2...eekly_img&sa=N http://www.google.de/trends?q=%22Sma...o=all&date=all It's pretty much a continous downward trend, with one spike in 2007. What's interesting is that Teargarden by Kaleidyskope did nothing to stop, let alone reverse, that trend, despite its focus on the Internet. More people googled for the Smashing Pumpkins when they didn't exist in 2004-2006 than today. Well done, Billy. |

i think having another proper album will put them on the map again for a little bit. but it's just going to go back in decline unless he changes this stupid one song at a time bullshit. i don't know why he can't figure that out. even in rainbows probably would've fell off the radar had it followed that format

People seem to be really interested in pancake in the beginning parts of the years, but then their interest dwindles. Interesting... |

Nirvana (blue) vs. Smashing Pumpkins
Keep in mind however that "Nirvana" does not refer to a band only. http://www.google.de/trends/viz?q=%2...mg&sort=0&sa=N Kurt Cobain (blue) vs. Smashing Pumkins http://www.google.de/trends/viz?q=%2...mg&sort=0&sa=N Kurt Cobain (blue) vs. Billy Corgan The Jessica-Simpson-spike looks insignficant in this comparison. http://www.google.de/trends/viz?q=%2...mg&sort=0&sa=N Last edited by Morlock : 09-10-2011 at 05:59 AM. |
