How do you feel about this song?

The drumming is SO alive

The guitars are deliciously sludgy

The vocals are dynamic and emotionally charged

"Love is suicide" is admittedly cheesy, but I love the rest of the lyrics and their imagery

Great song.

But I agree that the suicide lyric hasn't aged all that well.

I like it. Was it recorded live? It sounds more raw than a lot of other tracks. And it's the one SP song that seems to have a tinge of hardcore punk influence.

The vocals sound so cool there. Kinda reminds me of Jellybelly vocals too, but with a completely different atmosphere.

Love this track. I remember blasting this one in my first car when I was 16-17 and just flooring it when the chorus came on. I miss that Billy.

Been a minute since I read the liner notes to the MCIS reissue, but I know he talks about recording it live. IIRC, I think he said Flood brought in a PA and the volume of the band was deafening. In some other gear interview, Billy said the vocal comes straight off a handheld mic.

doesn't mean that it is.
but she's claimed every time billy sung the word "love" he was singing about her....
and in then cites this song about how people say she killed kurt... and billy is defending her that it wasn't murder but a suicide.

the rest of the lyrics hardly back this up.
