has anyone else...
had a band, thought it was going really well, and then *poof* it was gone?
it's been about three months now since my band dissolved, and since then i kind of feel like my soul is eating itself. i was so happy when i was playing music, rocking the fuck out, and being creative with a group of people who i thought were on the same page. now that i'm not doing that anymore, i feel like i have no direction at all. i kind of just get high every nite, dink around with an acoustic, and watch fucking american idol. compared to six months ago, my life pretty much sucks now. i still listen to the demos of that we recorded and smile wistfully. too bad i can never go back to that. whew, i really needed to get that off my chest. |

you could put some effort into getting another band together and be playing better than you were before

i know, i know... admittedly, i probably haven't been trying as hard as i could be. craigslist is a freakin' joke, and other than that my networking has been less than, uh, fruitful.
however, bitching about it won't get me any closer to having another band. thanks for humoring me. |

dude i started a myspace-like site for musicians. you upload what you've got for music, create a profile, and then you can view people by geographical location, and then by self-described style/genre/influences/etc. sort by what role (singer, guitar, drums, etc.).
you should definitely check it out |
