The release thing definitely hurt it. Being psychedelic in a “Sgt Peppers, but it’s all Paul songs” way hurt it too.

The method of release was stupid, made worse by the terrible and disorganised execution, but if the songs were at least decent, then it might have been worth some attention. But the songs weren't decent, they were shit. Nothing can save shit songs.

when they begin losing interest, make sure you talk a lot more and in shorter self contained sentences, preferably making each one a cliffhanger

Their strength was the guitar interplay, but it is all about default logic synths.
