All I could hear was how terrible that drum mixing is. It’s so thin and grittingly bright and oversaturated with treble… strips away all of Jimmy’s natural talent and dynamics.

What's more frustrating is obviously this guy knows the technology, knows all the details, is clearly experienced and knows simple tricks to make things awesome, but it still sounds like shit.

yes - thanks for putting that into words - he's very affable but there's just no way to write 30 pumpkins songs in 2020 over zoom and have them be good
