Spinoff: US places you have been
places I have actually lived or vacationed in
Tennessee: Nashville Texas: DFW, Houston, San Antonio, Midland, El Paso, Austin, San Marcos, New Braunfels, Kerville, Fredricksburg, Salado, Temple, College Station, Galveston/Keemah, Corpus Christi, Port Aransas, Italy, Giddings, Lexington, blah blah you get the idea Illinois: Marion, Carbondale, surround SO IL areas, Chicago Arizona: Flagstaff, Phoenix, meteor crater (lol) New Mexico: Roswell, Carlsbad, Albuquerque Colorado: Pagosa Springs Arkansas: Texarkana, Little Rock Missouri: St Louis Georgia: Glynco, Savannah Florida: Orlando New York: NYC New Jersey: Newark I've driven through: Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado. All of these states had interesting things to see from the car except for the bottom corner Missouri which was boring, ugly, and all looked the same. I've also had a layover in Omaha, and I felt the same way there as I did driving through Missouri. My list is wimpy. now you! Last edited by agenda suicide : 01-10-2009 at 06:17 PM. |

ah that's cool. I just find it odd when people claim they've been somewhere when they only passed through, so I was curious.

US: I tend to keep close to the Great Lake States New York: New York City, Brooklyn (lived there) New Jersey: Elizabeth, Cape May, Atlantic City, Newark Ohio: first town into Ohio after leaving Pennsylvania on 1-80. spent a night there. Indiana: Hammond (SP concert), Michigan City, Crown Point (all northwest indiana). Michigan: New Buffalo area (Southwest Michigan) Illinois: Chicago (live), Champaign Urbana, Rockford, DeKalb, Normal IL (sp show) Wisconsin: Milwaukee (sp show) Minnesota: Minneapolis and some town up near Canada border Kansas: Lawerence Georgia: Atlanta Arizona: Phoenix, Mesa California: Los Angeles area Hawaii: Hilo, Kona (Big Island) Drove thru pennsylvania but never stopped anywhere, drove from Charlotte NC to Atlanta overnight when i was stranded at an airport, but never stopped anywhere either, so those states and Airports don't count. I have either visited or driven through most major areas of New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Virgina, West Virgina, Michigan, New Jersey, Georgia, North&South Carolina, Florida & Hawaii. I stopped in O'Hare International Airport in Illinois once but I guess that doesn't really count.

i've been in every state except alaska, hawaii, washington, oregon, north+south dakota, minnesota, maine. while there are a lot of parts of a lot of states i've just passed through, i've done a lot of driving on non-interstates.. where there's a lot more to see and you pass through a lot of small towns. it's a lot more interesting to travel that way, even though it's significantly slower. i've been into/through 1147/3142 counties. i've only been to two canadian provinces.

Lived:
Blacksburg, VA Sacramento,CA Fresno, CA Miami, FL for a few months large cities I've visited: NYC DC Atlanta Orlando Miami Charlotte Philly Baltimore St Louis Denver Salt Lake City Dallas San Francisco Sacramento Nashville Jacksonville Las Vegas Reno Charleston Columbus Cleveland I've visited most of the east coast south of New York......... gone to all the major beaches south of Virginia... I haven't visited pretty much any of the middle states. I've been to St. Louis and Dallas and that's pretty much it. I have traveled over a lot of California. I haven't gone farther north than Ukiah though... have been down to the mexico border but haven't visited San Diego or Los Angeles yet (just driven through the suburbs). I have visited most of the coast from Santa Barbara to San Francisco. I have seen ALL there is to see in the Central Valley. Driven through Nevada... that pretty much counts as visiting if you've ever actually seen that state. Driven through Utah as well... also not much civilization in that state south of SLC. I have been to the very southern end of that state when I went to Lake Powell. Been to Denver but haven't really traveled around Colorado much... |
