apparently TAFH was a sequel to Pisces, and one day we'll get part Part 3.

what's the other secret trilogy?
we all know billy has a trilogy of trilogy up his sleeve)

Gish & Zeitgeist?

Adore and Oceanea?

Shiney 1 & 2? (what happened to volume 2????)

yeah whatever, i don't see what's wrong with that.
this gives everyone a chance to buy a copy. i think i prefer that over "limited to 666 copies" and all the bullshit that comes with that.
people aren't going to enjoy their record more or less because of the level of risk bc/the band took releasing it.

Yeah, it only took 10 years for them to figure out how to release archive material without being total knob-heads about it. It wasn't that hard after all, right!

Some of those conversations | ideas that he had back on the O-Board were infuriating. Talk about some generic vague idea, attach spurious financial valuations to different potential tiers and wonder why people got fucked-off with the whole thing.

And then the Lucky 13 headed up by the grossly incompetent nincompoop that [was?] Monte IT and his pal the Rat Bastard writing nonsensical-hypothetical polls; "How much might you pay for a "unspecified release" of unknown quality, on X, Y and Z formats (maybe), released - well, every once in a while, perhaps. And would you pay extra if it included a poster. Also do you like subscriptions or not - but we are not crowd-funding...

Maddening stuff.

Anyway, looking forward to this actually happening. Didn't even mind the announcement of the announcement. Although it sounded a bit stupid to be saying, get ready - but btw, it's vinyl only and we have no idea when we can make it.

Anyway. Looking forward to it.

Any minute now.

What? Everyone gets a chance to buy a copy if it gets printed and then becomes available for a certain period of time. If you have to buy it in advance it’s a completely different scenario and most fans usually end up with an overpriced after-market copy.

He basically shifts the business risk to potential resellers with very little consideration of fans.

At least put in on streaming AND print vinyl ffs...

It's crazy that "announcement of the announcement" and the "any minute now" stuff is super old. Like, what is it 11, 12 years now or more?

I was thinking it was Teargarden like 09, but maybe it was the Z era.

i mean, at this rate i mostly care about it being good for him, because that means he'll actually put something out. and i assume they'd find a way to communicate to fans that it's a limited time order

and also maybe it's cause i had to sit through this shit:

I don't get, but at the same time I sort of do get, the vinyl only thing. He wants to make money and have a cool product out there. At the same time, I'm probably not going to buy one. I rarely listen to live albums and I'm definitely not gonna be slipping on a live Pumpkins record anytime soon.

If he doesn't want to stream it, that's fine, he could make them available by DL only from the official site.

He should take a leaf out of two books: Neil Young and King Crimson. Both of those have done archival release projects perfectly. There's a huge amount of material available in all sorts of formats from their websites:

https://neilyoungarchives.com/

https://www.dgmlive.com/king-crimson

You could spend hours on each.

Definitely Zeitgeist era. I remember they announced that a single song would be recorded (what ended up becoming "G.L.O.W.") six or seven months before it finally got released.

I think about 10 years ago they put lots of live recordings up on Archive.org. Today he releases vinyl-only shows. Here's hoping for a Betamax re-re-release in the near future.

He picks up the phone "Hi Jeff! It's William. William Patrick Corgan. Listen. I've got a new song called...err.. Bellariana..? it goes like doo doo doo la la doo doo doo laaa laaaa and then I sing something like Bellariana, blur lines fade on twine. Bellariana, blue zines and photon tribe. A bit more doo doo doo... that bit again but with different words and then there's a chorus that's eerrr I guess like Bellariana, Bellariana why the phase of sight. Bellariana, Bellariana dear. Your love is strange kind of light. Repeat a few times maybe put a bridge in ok Jeff, you got that?? The drums go like kick snare, kick snare.. can you let Jimmy know and make sure you catch us on Friday night NWA wrestle raw 2021. Cheerio!"

He does the several times every day.

He's been talking about this forever. I remember him talking about this shit in 2000 saying he couldn't figure out how to do it. Meanwhile we were sitting on the Hub like, "umm you could talk to us we already have it all cataloged, archived, and downloadable." Instead he was always sending out Quinto on little missions to keep us in line. It's a control issue with him, totally control freak narcissist shit.

This checks out.

Corgan has been his own worst enemey since 2000. Embracing Netphoria is embracing integrity and success. I mean, just look at us!
