So I'm trying to figure out how to do beach waves with my curling wand. These tutorials must be for people with 3 hands. I have given up and just straightened it instead several times now. Any hot tips?

when i got a curling wand, i used it on one piece of my hair before realizing i could not and would not ever do my whole head, so it's stored away with my curling iron. have you tried some ubiquitous youtube tutorials?

i found a toni and guy hair cutting tutorial for curly haired dudes that i used on tommy. the video was 9 minutes but i paused and rewound so much that it took me close to an hour, but he looked sharp.

my hair is just sort of wavy on some days. i use this if i don't airdry.

Yeah, I've been all over YouTube trying to copy them. But instead of a wave, it always comes out with one large crimp right in the middle. I must not be twirling it right.

I have natural loose waves, but with that Jewish girl frizz, so I just straighten it 90% of the time to keep it sleek (plus an entire handful of conditioner 3x weekly). But I recently cut about 5 inches off and want that medium length textured beach look. For having long hair most of my life, I've only mastered about 5 styles. I need to learn more so I can style my girls' hair in ways beyond ribbons and pigtails, and do more with mine besides down, up, half down half up, and braids.

most girls with those messy knots work v hard on them. boys spend a lot of time showing they don't care in other ways themselves.

my go-to is using butterfly clips or bobby pins on my hair when it's down. i only wear my hair up to workout.

Oh and headbands but certain ones can dig into the back of my ears and give me headache

I can never wear headbands because I always have too many different layers in my hair and they are not meant to be pushed back, because they'll just go sideways instead.

And I do realize the messy bun is an intentional choice, but I think it looks ugly right on the top of their head. If you're gonna project to the world that you don't care, they have leopard print sweatpants for that.

So…I was promoted at work. It was an internal hiring process and a handful of candidates applied and I was chosen.

Now I kinda feel like Liz Truss. Like nobody really wants me there and I’m about to make a set of disastrous decisions.

I’m not used to anyone choosing me for anything. I entertained the thought of turning it down
