Yeah, I see what you're saying. But when an artist consistently releases albums with 2/3's filler then you really have to reconsider awarding them legendary status.

I was never insinuating that those were groups worthy of a consensus praise.

But yes, I do think NOFX albums are lot more consistent than Bowies from a songwriting standpoint.

NOFX actually has a wide ranging catalog with a lot of quality stuff. Tons of good B-sides and EP's to coincide with the albums.

Some good stuff in there, but a lot of shit that I couldn't care less about. English? some good stuff again but then you get forced into evaluating pieces of literature that have been beaten into the ground to death that I couldn't care less about.

It's all a sham man. High School has no baring on ones intelligence.
Ok. We've found the crux of the issue I believe.

Until you get to advanced specialization (let's say third year university at the absolute earliest and often not until you get into a graduate or professional program after undergrad), education is not about the goddamn facts you're being taught.

It is about learning how to learn. About learning to think critically. About understanding how to analyze things and how to communicate and develop a better understanding of the world around you.

You don't have any of these skills.

Obviously schools don't and can't do a perfect job of this. But it's a whole lot better than nothing and anyone who ever doubts that should look at fuzzyroes.

Yeah but I dropped out of high school in year 10 and I can argue significantly better than a large portion of third-year uni students.

Some people are capable of developing those skills without formal schooling. Some obviously cannot.

And some people get undergraduate degrees and still don't have those skills. I'm talking about goals and generalities here that I think are pretty obviously applicable to fuzzyroes.

And fuzzy, lest you think I'm just being a dick, part of the reason I point this out is because I am sincerely concerned that you are going to irreversibly ruin your life and squander any potential that may be within you with your gambling. If you had some more education and understanding and intelligence the chances of that decrease.

Just one man's opinion though. You had a mentor. So.

never disappoints.

however silly it is to attempt a common agreement on anything (what for and shit), I refuse to believe trots was right, and we can't even come up with ONE SINGLE FUCKING artist or band.

bowie is out, fugazi is out (teb you nay-sayer, we were so close)

still in
-pixies
-talking heads
-chelsea wolfe

what about digging up some dead and add

- Velvet Underground/Lou Reed
- Nina Simone
- Miles Davis

nobody would ever shit on those, right?

is it weird to anyone at this point i don't like any specific band?

My tastes are pretty random and aspergersy.

In general people should not pay much attention to what i like or don't musically.

same here.
but for the sake of proving why democracy never works (or something like that)

deads are out again, I use my veto on Talking Heads, leaves

- Pixies
- Chelsea Wolfe

and The Cure, since I was the only reason they were left out?

Started listening recently, can't say I love it, but I like it enough not to vote against it.
