Baroness - Red Album (CD)
Those 2 meshugga are sonic fucking pwnage. Oracle is pretty good, avg. Sunn I guess. The Baroness is pretty good, not as heavy as I thought it would be.

I don't like that Baroness record. The EP's were a lot better.

yeah i thought the Baroness record was good but not great. But i think if they work on the formula a bit, they could really do something. Might be their before-they-were-great album.

My two most recent music purchases were Saul Williams for 5$, Radiohead for 0$, and a stack of blank CD's for 19.95$. Win-Win-Win.

Thumbs up

I'm doubting anyone's heard of 'em, let alone like 'em, but I just listened to the Editors' An End Has A Start for the first time tonight; I'm glad I gave it a listen. I really dig the lead singer's voice.

I was never into Baroness, but I don't hate the EP's. They just didn't interest me. And now they are just trying to be the next Mastodon. I'll never understand why you would want to rip off a band that changes with every album. But then again that's why Mastodon are amazing and Baroness will never go beyond Relapse.

And for those unaware, Relapse has not put out more than 4 good records since the end of 2004 which is pathetic. They are a hollow shell of the label they use to be.
