This one was fun. The end is taken in a whole different direction.

If this was posted as a unknown '92 BC home demo I'd probably go for it. Good job!

Much appreciated. When they played it at the SD acoustic show after Spaceboy i had to try it.

BTW i used the Machina Everlasting Gaze amp that i picked up for $60 shipped on Reverb for the main rhythm sounds. It's like some crazy studio secret i guess because it records so well with a fuzz in front.

I have that Crate. It sounds like ass mostly. Pretty sure Billy used the distortion channel direct to console to get that cyber-metal sound on TEG.

I tried that too and it does the Gaze tone to a T but mic'd up with a 57 into my Cranborne preamp i'm getting nice sounds with pedals.

Very nice cover, spguitar0! Spaced is a cool track.

What phaser did you use for the solo? It sounds like a Maestro MP-1, which I think is what Billy used on Plume.

There are 3 versions of the Crate GX-15R, as the company changed manufacturers for them during their production, and each sounds different. I think Billy had one of each. I know the speaker is different in at least two of the versions. You can tell the different versions by how they look on the front, and by looking at the speakers in them.

I have one of them, and it might the same one you have. A friend has two, including this one, and they say the other they have has more clarity to it.

BTW, you might like the reveal I have to give.

It’s clearly Origin of Symmetry and all other answers are wrong

Thanks for listening! I didn’t know that about the 3 versions. May have to try to find the others now.

Here is some recording info.

The solo tone is the Reverend Z-One Prototype > Minotaur Effects Evil Eye > Diezel VH4. Phasing is Sound Toys in the DAW. Main rhythms are the Fender Parallel Universe II Jazz Stratocaster into the JPTRFX Warlow then the $30 Crate GX15R. Mics we’re the warm audio WA47 and a SM57 into the Cranborne Camden preamp.

Just checked out your other stuff too, really cool. Probably some of the best covers I've heard in all honesty.

Thanks a bunch. That means a lot. I have some new gear coming that's about to make them even better. Can't wait to work out Pissant in the next couple of weeks. I gotta get finished with 3 more hired pedal demos first then i can hash it out.
